Simulation Train the Trainer Program
The Royal Children's Hospital Simulation Train the Trainer program is a core component of training to become a simulation facilitator or educator.
This two-day course runs from 08:00-17:00 each day and introduces participants to the essentials required to develop a simulation program or session, including simulation theory, content, setting up a safe educational environment, design and development of simulation scenarios, in addition to varied methods of debriefing.

RCH Nursing/Allied Health- $250
RCH Medical - $375

Future Programs
The RCH Simulation Team is aiming to provide a refresher debriefing course for participants who have completed the Simulation Train the Train Program and are looking to advance their skills in debriefing.
VEMS (Visually Enhanced Mental Simulation)
The RCH Simulation Team are facilitating education sessions on how to run a VEMS (Visually Enhanced Mental Simulation) sessions. VEMS can be used for communication or deteriorating patient training, and/or running through guidelines and protocols etc. This simulation education modality is easily facilitated by educators in their department and has been used to good effect where lots of time, space, and/or equipment, are not available.
